:: somehow in 1994, madre tenebra dwelled in the torino's suburbia. dark as pitch, thru years made of attitude and devotion, tronus abyss was the only possible evolution. there's not a reason for the monicker but its spirit. take a walk in the middle of your soul and maybe you'll find it. it actually speaks.
:: "the king of angel in the abyss" as an experience. after two years of pure, intense black metal (the extreme music for extreme people at that time) tronus abyss released a long, single opus divided in nine chapter. their first opus, released by pagan moon organization (formerly known as pagan moon records), was a sublime example of so-called symphonic black metal, a way to enhance heavy metal music to its most extreme and superb expression. but the past is madness and madness dwells in unfertile glory.

:: at the dawn of 1998, the founder atratus (at that time, known as astarte), met two formidable musicians and philosophers in order to revive tronus abyss: the eclectic and morphinomaniac baron malphas (on synths, bass, percussion, programming) and arim of atrahasis, guitars, who left the band early 2000. together, they gave birth to the "rotten dark" opus, the definitive marriage of profane medieval music and apocalytpic black. in the purest underground spirit, this record caused a majestic shock in the underground.
